On Wednesday 7 September 2011 Speakers in Schools was up bright and early at the Channel 9 Studios, very excited to be amongst the speakers for the ‘Speakers Training Workshop’ featuring Darren Fleming from Executive Speaking. The morning started with a light breakfast and freshly brewed coffee. Mix 102.3’s Mel Greig was there to MC the workshop.

What an informative morning it turned out to be, Ben Flink from Flinders University delivered his presentation while being recorded (job well done!!) Although what seemed to be a flawless presentation the trained eye of Darren highlighted areas in which Ben could improve to make his presentation even more captivating. Some suggestions discussed by Darren included:

-         Use of PowerPoint

-         How to effectively introduce yourself

-         Correct use of words within a presentation

As founder and director of Executive Speaking, Darren Fleming has spent the last 7 years transforming business leaders into highly effective speakers. As a result our speakers were able to tap into this valuable information.
